“We all know HR rocks—now show us how!  Come up with a pictorial representation that captures what makes HR truly stand out!”

Concept

The Human Resources team enjoyed a fun and creative afternoon designing custom t-shirts at the InnoHub.  We were on the lookout for a team-building activity that was not only engaging but also allowed us to flex our creative muscles.  After learning about Labriola’s hands-on workshops, we jumped at the chance to try their “Team T-shirt session”. 

Inspiration | Process | Finished Product

Our fearless leader (aka Christine Homer) sparked the inspiration for our design, suggesting a bold and simple slogan: “HR Rocks” for the front of the shirt.  After a couple visits to the Maker’s Space, a few mishaps, and lots of laughs, we proudly printed our logo onto the front of each shirt—mission accomplished! 

But the fun didn’t stop there. 

Next up: customizing the back of our shirts.  We kicked off the creative process with a prompt to get our ideas flowing: We all know HR rocks—now show us how!  Come up with a pictorial representation that captures what makes HR truly stand out.

Each team member brought their own interpretation to life, using either the Cricut machines for vinyl designs or the fabric printer for more complex, colorful images.  

The result? A collection of original, custom-designed shirts that showcased both our team spirit and creative flair. 

We walked away with more than just awesome custom t-shirts—we left with great memories, hands-on experience using the Cricut suite and fabric printer, and a newfound curiosity to explore even more of what the Maker’s Space has to offer.
