“I wanted to go above and beyond for the Capstone Showcase!”

Concept

During our Capstone class, my team had worked diligently on creating a solar panel assembly that can be mounted on a car. As we approached the showcase I wanted to create some branded merchandise to make our team stick out among the crowd.

Inspiration | Process | Finished Product

All the other Capstone teams just wear suits and business casual outfits with minimal pizazz. I wanted our team to have a little more character and standout. I thought that making custom matching shirts would be perfect for our team to wear while at Showcase. In addition I created some matching stickers with our team’s logo to distribute.

I used the t-shirt printer to print our team logo onto the pink shirts. This is a very straight forward process just very repetitive to make all the shirts. While the shirts were printing I also used the new sticker printer and Cricut Cutter to make the custom stickers.

“The shirts and stickers were such a hit with our clients and the other teams!”

Things Learned

One of the main things we had to keep in mind is that it’s difficult for the t-shirt printer to put light color inks on a darker shirt. Thankfully we were using a pink shirt which is pretty light, but its important to learn the limits of the machines we were working on.
