What is Labriola?
Our Mission
To empower the Mines community to innovate and create by providing access to cutting-edge technology, hands-on learning, and a collaborative maker community. We aim to foster an environment where students, faculty, and teams can explore ideas, take creative risks, and bring bold concepts to life—whether through course projects, entrepreneurial ventures, or personal curiosity. By supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and lowering barriers to prototyping, we help turn inspiration into impact.

What's an InnoHub?
Labriola is an InnoHub—an Innovation Hub designed to support students in every stage of learning, making, and exploring. An InnoHub is more than just a makerspace; it’s a dynamic environment that combines hands-on education, project support, access to tools, and a collaborative space where students can try new things, regardless of experience level or motivation. Whether you’re building something for a class, a club, a startup, or simply out of curiosity, the InnoHub exists to lower the barrier between ideas and action.
Who Can Use the Space?
All Registered Students
All Faculty and Staff
All Registered Student Orgs.

The Innovation Hub officially opened in Spring 2024 and has been growing while serving the Mines community ever since.
